Stop & Shop lowers thousands of prices

Shop the blue tags to save money

Quincy, MA (April 8, 2016) – Stop & Shop today announced it has again lowered prices on more than 1,500 key staple items throughout all of its stores as part of its continued commitment to lowering prices and saving customers money when they shop. The lower prices will be called out with blue tags on items in the fresh, nonperishable and health and beauty care departments.

“We continue to look for ways to bring a wide variety of high quality products at prices that fit our customers’ budgets. The blue tags in our stores really make it easy for our customers to identify the savings,” said Stop & Shop New England President, Mark McGowan.

Customers can see the savings with Stop & Shop’s Low Everyday Price signage and blue shelf tags. Lower price items are also highlighted in the weekly circular. As an example, Stop & Shop has lowered the price of one of its most popular items, rotisserie chickens, from $5.99 to $4.99.

Some of the many lower prices highlighted in this week’s circular include Gatorade Thirst Quencher, which was $1.49 and is now 10 for $10 and Sargento Shredded Cheese, which was $3.29 and is now two for $6.

This latest price drop is part of Stop & Shop’s ongoing strategy to reinvest back into its grocery departments and product pricing to improve customers’ experiences and offer solutions to help them save time, save money and eat well.

As part of this strategy, Stop & Shop produce and bakery departments have been transformed to deliver more local, fresh offerings, better prices, and better quality.
