Purchase, NY & Quincy, MA (May 14, 2016) – Following a recall by Dr. Praeger’s Sensible Foods, Inc., Giant Food, LLC announced it removed from sale Dr. Praeger’s California Veggie Burgers due to the potential to be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes.

The following product is included in this recall:

  • Dr. Praeger's California Veggie Burger, 10 oz., UPC 8086800010, with best by dates of 1/27/18, 2/3/18, 2/9/18, 3/8/18, 3/23/18 & 4/13/18

Listeriosis can also cause miscarriages and stillbirths, as well as serious and sometimes fatal infections in those with weakened immune systems, such as infants, the elderly and persons with HIV infection or undergoing chemotherapy.

Customers who have purchased this product should discard any unused portions and bring their purchase receipt to Giant for a full refund.
