It's Not Too Late to Get Your Flu Shot at Stop & Shop

Purchase, NY & Quincy, MA (January 17, 2014) – With the Centers for Disease Control reporting increased flu activity throughout the country, the time is right to protect yourself and your family by getting vaccinated. Flu shots are still available at all Stop & Shop in-store pharmacy locations. No appointment is needed and vaccinations are provided any time the pharmacy is open by their trusted in-store pharmacists.

“It’s important for people to take the time to get vaccinated, especially during this time of year”, said Joel Berman, pharmacy director at Stop & Shop New England division in Quincy, Mass.

Most major insurance plans along with Medicare are accepted. Customers with a Stop & Shop prescription savings card receive $10 off of the regular price of a flu shot. In addition to providing flu shots, Stop & Shop continues to keep its pharmacies well stocked to handle flu-related prescriptions and over-the-counter medications.

Influenza, more commonly known as the seasonal flu, is a contagious respiratory disease that peaks in the winter, typically December through March.
