WCVB-TV 5, STOP & SHOP AND UNILEVER JOIN FORCES TO "STUFF-A-TRUCK" FOR THE GREATER BOSTON FOOD BANK
Boston, MA - WCVB-TV Channel 5, The Stop & Shop Supermarket Company LLC, and Unilever are joining forces on Friday, September 21, to encourage Bay Staters to Stuff-A-Truck with canned goods and other non-perishables for The Greater Boston Food Bank (GBFB).
Throughout Friday, NewsCenter 5 will share stories about the increased need for emergency food assistance in our area and will air live shots from one of the collection site during the EyeOpener, Midday and early evening newscasts. Chronicle, WCVB's award-winning, nightly newsmagazine that airs at 7:30PM, will explore the changing face of hunger and show how for many Massachusetts residents just getting one good meal a day is a struggle.
Boston's newest radio station 101.7 The Harbor will broadcast from the Revere location from 10AM to 12PM, followed by KISS 108's Romeo and street team will be from 12PM to 2PM.
During the Stuff-A-Truck event, people are encouraged to bring donations to one of the two participating Stop & Shop locations listed below. Look for the Stop & Shop big-rig with the Stuff-A-Truck banner on the back. Donations will be accepted from 5AM to 8PM on Friday at the Dedham location, and 10AM-2PM in Revere.

The Greater Boston Food Bank (GBFB) is the largest hunger-relief organization in New England and among the largest food banks in the country.
