That year, a few women who traded recipes conjured up an easy-to-prepare pie crust mix and named it Krusteaz (crust + ease). They went door to door, cafe to cafe, selling their creation. A lot has changed since 1932, but some things haven't. We're still a family business, and we still believe that nothing brings people together better than delicious food. You'll Need: 2/3 cup water. 1/3 cup vegetable oil. 2 eggs. Tip: Leftover quick bread makes terrific French toast! 1. Heat oven to 350 degrees F. Lightly grease loaf pan or muffin pan. 2. Stir together water, oil, eggs, and quick bread mix until well blended. Gently stir undrained cranberries into batter. Spoon batter into loaf pan or fill muffin cups 2/3 full. 3. Bake as directed below or until toothpick inserted into center comes out clean. Cool 5 minutes; gently loosen and remove from pan. Let cool completely; store in tightly covered container. Do not eat raw batter. Yield: 8x4-inch Loaf Pan: 350 degrees F; 50-55 minutes bake time. 10-12 Standard Muffins: 400 degrees F; 18-20 minutes bake time. 22-24 Mini Muffins: 400 degrees F; 10-12 minutes bake time. The universe is telling you to mix things up. But first, preheat the oven.
