Stove Top: Cook only half of the bag at a time. 1. Add half the bag (about 3 cups) and 1/2 cup water to a medium saucepan. 2. Cover and cook over medium-high heat 7 to 8 minutes, stirring occasionally. 3. Check that food is cooked thoroughly. Drain and serve. Microwave Oven: Do not microwave in bag cook only half of the bag at a time. 1. Add half the bag (about 3 cups) and 1/2 cup water to an 8-inch square microwave-safe dish. Cover. 2. Microwave on high 4 minutes; stir and replace cover. 3. Microwave an additional 3 to 4 minutes. 4. Check that food is cooked thoroughly. Drain and serve. Careful, it's hot!
