Keeps best refrigerated or frozen. Cooking instructions: Rinse and sort fava beans, do not soak. Place in medium to large saucepan, 1 cup fava beans and 3 cups water. Bring to boil. Reduce heat, cover and simmer for 40-45 minutes or until soft. Beans will begin to break apart as they cook, overcooking may result in mushy beans. One cup of dried fava beans yields approximately 2 1/4 cups cups of cooked beans.
