Simply perfect pasta. Step 1: Select number of servings. Servings: 2; Pasta: 1/3 pkg; Water: 2 qt; Salt: 1 tsp. Servings: 3; Pasta: 1/2 pkg; Water: 3 qt; Salt: 2 tsp. Servings: 6; Pasta: Full pkg; Water: 5 qt; Salt: 1 tbsp. Step 2: Pick your time/firmness: 5 minutes Al dente. 6 minutes firm. 7 minutes tender. Step 3 Cooking Directions: 1. Bring water to a rapid boil. To add flavor and reduce stickiness add salt (optional). 2. Gradually stir in pasta; return to rapid boil. 3. Cook uncovered, stirring occasionally. 4. Drain well. Serve as desired. For Oven Dishes & casseroles: Prepare as above but reduce cooking time to about 5 minutes for recipes that will require further cooking.
