Boil: Ready in under 30 minutes. You will need: 1 lb sirloin, sliced across grain in -inch strips; 1 medium red bell pepper, cut in thin strips (If omitting bell pepper, cook beef 4 to 5 minutes. Stir in 1/4 cup water; reduce heat and simmer 1 to 2 minutes until sauce thickens); 1 tablespoon oil; 1 cups water; teaspoon salt; Optional: 3-4 green onions cut in diagonal 1-inch pieces; 1 tablespoon sesame seeds. Cook Rice: (1) Add water, salt, and rice to 2-quart saucepan; stir. Bring to boil. (2) Reduce heat to low. Cover; cook 22 to 24 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside. Mid-way through rice cook time: (1) Coat beef slices with seasoning in shallow bowl or plastic bag. (2) Heat oil in 10-inch non-stick skillet over medium-high heat. Add beef and bell pepper strips; cook 6 to 7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until sauce thickens. (3) Top rice with beef and peppers; drizzle with Korean BBQ sauce. (4) Sprinkle with green onions and sesame seeds, if desired. For food safety and quality, follow the cooking directions, refrigerate leftovers.
