Each envelope makes 5 delicious servings. Basic Directions for Egg Drop Soup: 1. Empty contents of one envelope into saucepan. Add 4 cups (1 quart) of cold water and stir. 2. Heat and stir frequently until soup comes to a boil. Simmer for 1 minute. 3. Gradually add 1 well beaten egg to boiling soup. Stir soup rapidly with a fork while adding egg. Makes 5 servings. Noodle Egg Drop Soup: 1. Empty contents of one envelope into saucepan. Add 4 cups (1 quart) of cold water and 1 1/2 cups of thin egg noodles and one level teaspoon salt. Stir. 2. Heat and continue stirring until soup comes to a boil. Simmer for 2 minutes. 3. Slowly add 1 well beaten egg to boiling soup. Stir soup rapidly with a fork while adding egg. Makes 5 servings.
